The docks and the kitchens at both Hia and Verm. Always.
At Vermilion, its always somewhere I can see the water. My favorite place when I was on staff was the wooden swing at the top of Hamburger Hill near the dining hall. I also have to walk through the playground area with the trees because I spent so much time there when I was a kid--the counselors were always telling to go be with our cabin group or activity, but I was just playing with the maintenance director's kids.
At Camp Vermilion it was the end of the sauna dock, because it was usually quiet and you sit and hear the kids at the beach, but still enjoy the water hitting the rocks behind you.
At Vermilion, my favorite spot is deep in the heart of the bog. Following a close second, there is a spot along the trail to the Primitives where I can sit on a large rock overlooking the lake and lean back against a large pine tree.
I have a few....All at Vermilion and not in any specific order. Root cellar, small campfire ring near the water, end of the point near the boat harbor, and hiking around the bog in my rubber boots. And when I visit these days, I like to go sit in the large campfire ring and reminisce. Some of my best memories of my life happened at CV.
In the main sauna for me. Heating it up, opening the stove's door, and feeling that heat as it expands the skin around your fingernails. Also the BFR (big fraggle rock) near Sacajawea.
